Sound Box Privacy Policy

Sound Box is an ad-supported iOS app created by William Wilson. This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use Sound Box and how to contact us about privacy questions.
Information You Create In The App
Sound Box lets you record, import, name, organize, edit, tag, and play sounds. Audio recordings, imported media, titles, folders, tags, tag images, and app settings are stored on your device.
If you enable iCloud for Sound Box, Apple may sync this content through your iCloud account under Apple's terms and privacy policy. Sound Box does not run its own account system and does not operate a server that receives your recordings or sound library.
Permissions
Sound Box may ask for these permissions:
- Microphone: to record sounds.
- Speech Recognition: to transcribe recordings and help suggest titles.
- Photo Library or Camera: to add images to tags.
- Tracking Permission: to allow personalized advertising where permitted.
You can change iOS permissions at any time in the Settings app.
Advertising And Consent
Sound Box uses Google AdMob and Google's User Messaging Platform to show ads and manage advertising consent. Google and its partners may process information such as device identifiers, advertising data, coarse location, product interactions, diagnostics, and performance data for advertising, analytics, fraud prevention, and related purposes.
Where required, Sound Box shows Google's consent flow before requesting ads. You can revisit available ad privacy choices from the app's Settings screen under Legal > Privacy Choices when Google indicates those options are required. If you deny Apple's tracking permission, Sound Box requests non-personalized ads.

In-App Purchases
Sound Box offers an in-app purchase to remove ads. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Sound Box stores purchase entitlement status so the app can remove ads after purchase or restoration.
Apple Services
Sound Box may use Apple services such as Speech Recognition, iCloud, StoreKit, widgets, and App Intents. These services are provided by Apple and are governed by Apple's privacy policy.
Log Data And Diagnostics
Sound Box uses local system logging for troubleshooting. Google Mobile Ads may collect diagnostics, crash, and performance information as described in Google's privacy materials. Sound Box does not operate a separate crash-reporting or analytics backend.
Children
Sound Box is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app or through a third-party service used by the app, contact us so we can help address the issue.
Your Choices And Rights
Depending on where you live, including in the European Union, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information about you.
Most Sound Box content is stored locally on your device or in your Apple iCloud account, so you can delete recordings, tags, folders, and imported files directly in the app or by deleting the app and its data. You can manage ad consent in the app when available, change tracking permission in iOS Settings, and manage Apple/iCloud data through your Apple account.

Security
Sound Box uses Apple platform storage and permission controls to protect app data. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to use reasonable safeguards appropriate for the app.
